Client Comment

I, Audrey Chung, run Jung Woo Academy which provides international students with finding schools and homestays in Auckland, New Zealand. For the last five years Mark Fawcett of New Kiwi Assist has been teaching English to students in my Academy.
Mark has supplemented the students' full time studies very effectively, in group and one on one lessons. The students have all enjoyed his lessons and are very fond of him. On their return to Korea they have all done very well in their studies.
Mark has also assisted me to work with one very difficult student (with learning difficulties and significant behavioral problems). Mark's life experience, commonsense and teaching skills made a huge difference to this student.
Another student Mark worked with for 5 years has been selected to study at Oxford University.
Mark has been a significant contributor to my student's success in English and developing maturity. I recommend him to any employer.
Audrey Chung, Director, Jung Woo Academy.

At the beginning of the year we started utilizing the services of Mark Fawcett of New Kiwi Assist to provide a specific training format for all our clients addressing their confidence, interviewing skills and presentation. The feedback we receive from all the clients that have been through the course has been over whelming. They have all gained confidence and are able to be safely sent to job interviews armed with a strategy and enthusiasm.

We are thrilled with the work you have done with our staff - you have certainly achieved a great deal. Thank you again for your excellent work.

During the 22 years I have lived in New Zealand I have learned a lot of English but I have also picked up some bad habits both in writing and speaking. So Mark had the difficult task of teaching old dog new tricks. I enjoyed every meeting with Mark because he was always very helpful, positive and most of all he knew what I needed to keep improving. Mark is very methodical, structured and always well prepared. Working with Mark was a pleasure and great experience. He gives meaningful feedback, explains everything in a simple and in very easy to remember terms.
I would recommend Mark to anybody who would like to improve his or her English.

I had been looking for a job for about six months with no success. I was very worried and frustrated. I talked to Mark and he said I had two key weaknesses. My pronunciation and my CV. He rewrote my CV and gave me pronunciation lessons. With a new CV I got an interview with EDS almost straight away. Using my new pronunciation skills I did well at the interview for telephone customer service. They then wanted to test my pronunciation over the phone by calling me at home that night. I was worried about how I would perform. Mark came to my house at short notice and coached me. I got the job and am now servicing EDS's Australian clients over the phone.

I am a Human Resources Administrator working for a large local government authority. We then went on and took New Kiwi Assist's interview training course and thought it was informative and very helpful. I found the questions in the training handouts particularly relevant and a good tool to use while preparing for an interview.
Mark has respected the fact that all this work came from one family and gave us a discounted price and even went further to meet us at home at a suitable time which we, as working parents found very convenient.

I would like to thank you for helping me out to improve my communication skills and relationship with workmates.
As an accountant, communication skill is very important. I appreciate that you spend four months with me to correct my grammar errors.
You have also helped me to build up confidence to communicate with my workmates.
We have also been through issues of personality type, Kiwi humor and negotiation for my preference.
I found that your teaching approach was helpful and I recommend people seeking help on improving English communication skill to see you.
Thank you very much!

Interview coaching with Mark has also been very helpful to me. It was a very well structured, compact package that covered all the details of an interview process starting with interview strategy and ending with a sample of "Thank you letter" to be sent after an interview. I would recommend Mark's interview preparation package as a MUST do exercise before going to an interview with any Kiwi employer.
